Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Must I remove my clothing?
A. Though Swedish and Deep Tissue are traditionally done with the clothes removed, the client must decide what he or she is comfortable with. If the client decides to only partially undress, your massage therapist is prepared to modify your treatment accordingly. During all treatments, the client will be covered with a sheet and warm blanket.
Q. What should I expect from my first massage visit?
A) Please arrive a few minutes early, as you will be asked to fill out a client history form. A therapist will then ask you a few questions to determine any areas of concern, what pressure you prefer, and allow you to ask any questions you may have.
Q. What do-I-do during my massage?
Most massage treatment begin face down, and most clients choose to close their eyes and relax through the treatments. Other clients prefer to carry on a conversation and ask questions. This is your time, do what works for you.
Q. How will I feel after my first treatment?
Most clients will feel relaxed and possibly free from their original pain and discomfort; others will feel energized. As toxins will have been released from your soft tissue throughout the massage, it is important to consume plenty of water after the treatment.
Q. Where will I get my treatment?
Your massage will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. The lights will be dimmed and soft music will play to help with the relaxation process.
